The Mediating Role of Procedural Justice on Idiosyncratic Deals and Turnover Intention Relationship
    (2018-08) Sarp, Pınar; 256647
The main purpose of this research is to determine how much workers are affected when they make idiosyncratic deals, whether or not this situation causes turnover intention, and if the procedural justice exists as a mediating role in the relation between idiosyncratic deals and turnover intention. The study consists of two parts: theoretical and practical. First, the theoretical part is presented in order to describe the variables involved in the research, and then the research part is given. Questionnaire technique has been used as data gathering method. Rosen’s Idiosyncratic Deals Scale, Niehoff and Moorman’s Organizational Justice Scale and Hollingsworth’s Turnover Intention Scale were used as data collection tools. The obtained data were analyzed using SPSS 24.0 statistical package program. As a result of the research conducted on workers working in software and information sector in Istanbul, it has been seen that idiosyncratic deals made by workers have reduce turnover intention. As well as the fact that idiosyncratic deals has a significant effect on procedural justice, procedural justice has also a partial mediating effect on the relationship between idiosyncratic deals and turnover intention.

    Multivalued Sakaguchi functions
    (2007)
Let A be the class of functions f(z) of the form f(z) = z +a2z2 + ··· which are analytic in the open unit disc U = {z ∈ C||z| < 1}. In 1959 [5], K. Sakaguchi has considered the subclass of A consisting of those f(z) which satisfy Re zf (z) f(z)−f(−z) > 0, where z ∈ U. We call such a functions “Sakaguchi Functions”. Various authors have investigated this class ([4], [5], [6]). Now we consider the class of functions of the form f(z) = zα(z +a2z2 +···+anzn +···) (0 <α< 1), that are analytic and multivalued in U, we denote the class of these functions by Aα, and we consider the subclass of Aα consisting of those f(z) which satisfy Re zDα z f(z) Dα z f(z)−Dα z f(−z) > 0 (z ∈ U), where Dα z f(z) is the fractional derivative of order α of f(z). We call such a functions “Multivalued Sakaguchi Functions” and denote the class of those functions by Sα s . The aim of this paper is to investigate some properties of the class Sα s . 2000 Mathematical Subject Classification: Primary 30C45.

Survey on Access Control Mechanisms in Cloud Computing
(River Publishers, 2018-05-26) AKBULUT, AKHAN; BAYDOĞMUŞ, GÖZDE KARATAŞ; 110942; 116056
The benefits that Internet-based applications and services have given to the end user with today’s cloud computing technology are very remarkable. The distributed services instantly scaled over the Internet provided by cloud computing can be achieved by using some mechanisms in the background. It is a critical task for end users to control access to resources because lack of control often leads to security risks. In addition, this may cause systems to fail. This paper describes seven different access control mechanisms used in cloud computing platforms for different purposes. Besides, the advantages and disadvantages of various models developed from previous service-based architectures and used for cloud computing are detailed and classified. During the assessments, NIST’s metrics were taken as a reference, and in the study, 109 articles from the past decade were examined. We also compared our research with the existing survey papers.

A novel fuzzy TOPSIS method using emerging interval-valued spherical fuzzy sets
(2019-06-03) Kahraman, Cengiz; GÜNDOĞDU, FATMA KUTLU
All the extensions of ordinary fuzzy sets with three-dimensional membership functions such as intuitionistic fuzzy sets, second type intuitionistic fuzzy sets (or Pythagorean fuzzy sets) and neutrosophic sets aim at defining the judgments of decision makers/ experts with a more detailed description. As a new extension of intuitionistic fuzzy sets of second type, the emerging spherical fuzzy sets (SFS) have been proposed by Kutlu Gundogdu and Kahraman (2019b). In spherical fuzzy sets, the sum of membership, non-membership and hesitancy degrees must satisfy the condition0 <= mu(2) + v(2) + pi(2) <= 1 in which these parameters are assigned independently. SFS is an integration of Pythagorean fuzzy sets and neutrosophic sets. In this paper, novel interval-valued spherical fuzzy sets are introduced with their score and accuracy functions; arithmetic and aggregation operations such as interval-valued spherical fuzzy weighted arithmetic mean operator and interval-valued spherical fuzzy geometric mean operator. Later, interval-valued spherical fuzzy sets are employed in developing the extension of TOPSIS under fuzziness. Then, we use the proposed interval-valued spherical fuzzy TOPSIS method in solving a multiple criteria selection problem among 3D printers to verify the developed approach and to demonstrate its practicality and effectiveness. A comparative analysis with single-valued spherical TOPSIS is also performed.

Violence and melancholia: The story of melancholic “Butterfly” generation
    (2016) Gündoğdu, Bucu; 218753
In his work entitled “Mercury fur”, Philip Ridley imagines a post–apocalyptic capitalist society plagued by the butterflies, multi-colored drugs, which induce memory loss and social collapse, particularly in younger generation. In addition to the drug dealing, violence and child abuse become another source of income in this capitalist world that suffers from loss of communication and empathy. This is one of the reasons that lead characters to develop melancholic subjectivity and strengthen their tendency to resort violence. Characters suffer from permanent melancholia state due to ongoing modern civil wars that turn the world into a “Waste Land” as in T.S Eliot’s poem. Just as Samuel Beckett’s characters, Vladimir and Estragon in “Waiting for Godot”, the brothers of “Mercury Fur”, Eliot and Darren think hope and belief are replaced with disbelief and despair. In this text, it is not an existential crisis that is focused on though, it is the post-war crisis causing moral bankruptcy and lack of commitment to life because threat is everywhere and capitalism demerits humane values. The Gang culture resurfaces again and dominates the young brains and incites them to do violent actions. This text has been examined from the perspective of Freudian theory of “Melancholia and Mourning”, which sheds light on the reasons why these characters suffer from melancholia, depressive psychoses and perversions. Though at first glance, it seems difficult to overcome shell-shock experience, moral degeneration and prevent familial institution’s disintegration, Ridley considers the best cure to work through the problems is story-telling. To exchange personal stories plays a big role in stimulating bitter-sweet memories, keeping family ties close and regaining sense of self even in the time of war.
